This is another excerpt from my daily journal, it happened back in April. For whatever reason I decided to put my faith in total stranger and he didn’t let me down. I spent the remainder of the evening amazed that he didn’t drive away with my new lawn mower. I guess it’s true that people usually do have the best intentions at heart. This being the cynical world that it is, overrun with a constant stream of bad news and crisis, it can be easy to forget that good things and tiny kindnesses happen everyday.
It’s truly amazing what the day can bring. It’s even more amazing what a simple act of kindness can do.

This is an excerpt from a daily comic journal I’m working on currently which I guess is a continuation or sequel to Fear of Flying (if one can make a sequel to a journal comic collection that is). I wrote this entry in January so I guess the unemployment thing was more like two years ago now but, I do still have that fortune. It’s a good reminder.
Hope can come in strange places sometimes.

I think it’s time we all faced the facts and came to terms with the fact that Google is Skynet. It’s only a matter of time before the machines take over. On the plus side, this will open up the job market for some really cool new jobs. Here are some more to look forward too:
