Kickstarter 2019: A Life in Comics
Hey gang! We wanted to give you a heads up about our newest Kickstarter, entitled Drunken Cat Comics 2019 Releases! After our successful 2017 Kickstarter for The Big Year, we are back with even more comic goodness, this time with a multitude of graphic novels for your enjoyment.
First up, after 10 years in the making, Brian’s epic crime comic, Ruffians, is finally complete and ready to be bound together in one giant 13 issue omnibus. At last you can get the complete story of Scar, a blue bear hitman, and his quest for justice as he seeks to find the person responsible for the murder of his best friend. This book brings together the entire gritty ordeal, from the discovery of Black Jack’s body to the bullet-ridden final showdown. Stop getting your hands stained with newsprint and start reading the entire saga from beginning to end on fine quality paper.
The second book we will publish is Last Call, a collection of as-yet unpublished comics from our old website. Initially set up as a way to get our books into more peoples hands, eventually Drunken Cat Comics website would host a daily single panel comic strip. The site has since undergone many changes in terms of posting schedule and comic format, but those single panel one-a-day comics still hold a bunch of laughs and now we bring them together in one bound book for you to peruse at your convenience. All the online laughs without the need for a modem! PLUS, as a bonus, this book will contain the now out of print The Life and Death of Mr. Burger!
Finally, a Drunken Cat Kickstarter wouldn’t be complete without a brand new auto-bio graphic novel. Brian continues the success of the award winning Fear of Flying and The Big Year with his latest entry, Devil’s Milk. This book picks up where The Big Year left off, with the introduction of the newest member to Brian’s pack, Izzy. The heart of the other books comes through in this story as he experiences the joys and frustrations of adding a newborn to the family dynamic.
