Whiplash
This is another excerpt from my daily journal. Whiplash was a pretty great movie and easily one of the most intense movies I’ve ever watched. Check out at your local library;)

Movies: Something to argue about as we make our way to the grave.
Thinking about the Oscars the other day got me thinking about the subjective/objective nature of films and art in general. We can argue back and forth about what movie deserves “Best Picture” and why, but when it comes down to it, what matters most is if you enjoyed the art. Because at the end of the day, that’s all we really can take from it.
I guess what I am trying to say is, it’s ok if you genuinely enjoyed the Ridiculous 6.
This is based on an actual conversation I overheard between two college students. The Matrix was released in 1999, which means that the individuals talking would have probably been two years old during its theatrical run. This reminded me how we are all just barreling down the road towards death.
