Only Just Met
Today is Isabella’s birthday! In celebration of the day, I decided to post an excerpt from my daily journal comic that I made while Amy and I were in the hospital when Izzy was born. Although I technically drew this comic the day after she was born, I remember pondering this thought as I paced around the hospital room with Izzy waiting for Amy to finish in surgery. I think it’s a feeling and sentiment that every parent can relate to.
One year… where does the time go?

Exercise is a Struggle
This is another excerpt from my book, The Big Year. This happened within the first week of making the journal comics that would become the book. I was trying to get into shape for my wedding and was using (and hurting) muscles I didn’t even know I had.
In related news, our Kickstarter for The Big Year is going great! We are now (as of writing this) about 60% funded. You can help bring this graphic novel to life by pre-ordering your copy today!
Big Sister
This is another excerpt from my book, The Big Year. Amy and I had decided that Kayla would be the first member of our family to find out that Amy was pregnant, which is only fair since she was going to become a big sister. This is how it all went down.
In related news, we’re currently running a Kickstarter for to help raise money so that we can print The Big Year in all it’s glory. The book will collect together fifteen months worth of journal comics that cover everything from buying a house to having a wedding to having a baby.
