This comic came about as I was driving Kayla to camp one morning. Thinking about the future can be a scary thing some times.

When I mow my 3/4 of an acre that is my lawn I often use the time to think up comics. A few days before mowing I was faced in quick succession with a post of Aaron Renier’s Ewok cover courtesy of Noah Van Sciver on Facebook and then a back cover to a zine featuring Ewoks courtesy of Steve Steiner. Needless to say, I had Ewoks on the brain at the time of making this comic.
Rick’s Tips for Grilling a Perfect Burger
This story was told to me by Amy on my way home from a meeting. The tale amused me so much that I instantly wrote it down and subsequently drew this comic.
It’s sound advise for sure. One day, I’ll tell my children the same tips;)
Go Kute Kayla
The events of this comic happened a few weeks ago. The poster Amy and I are creating was for her practice 5k that she was going to be doing that week with her running club, Girls on the Run. Since then we’ve ran the Girls on the Run 5k as a family which was a lot of fun.
This week will be Kayla’s the last week of Elementary school. After the summer she’ll be in 5th grade and in Intermediate school… crazy! Where does the time go?
