How to Make Friends as an Adult
The moral of the story: it’s really hard to make friends as an adult.
I have to admit, this may be one of my favorite “How to” comics that I’ve made thus far with The Drunken Cat. When I originally conceived the comic, in my list was “Plan a bank heist,” I love that that ended up being the B-story. I’m also happy that Sober Dog has made a reappearance.
Sober Dog was a character that appeared in another Drunken Cat comic way back in the early days on this site(the first year of webcomics to be exact) titled Never Trust a Sober Dog. Since then he’s been one of those characters that I’ve always told myself I’d come back to but, until now, haven’t. I’m glad he’s finally having his day.
How to be an Artist – Part Four: Branding
Remember, in order to get the public to recognize your name you need to beat them over the head with it.
How to be an Artist – Part Three: Creating a Persona
A persona is what can make or break an artist (unfortunately). There are lots of cases where the persona can become bigger than the person, in these cases the person often just plays the part (Snoop Dogg and Ozzy Osbourne are great examples of this). Then there are a few artists who are constantly changing their persona (David Bowie and Bob Dylan would be good examples of this). I had a lot of fun thinking of artists for that middle section. I tried my best to cast a wide net and include as many people from different artistic mediums as I could think of but, there were so many to choose from and so many I had to leave off.
This comic is part of my “How to” series that I’ve been doing with The Drunken Cat. Here are the first two “How to be an Artist” comics:
