Drunken Cat Comics

When I initially conceived of this comic “99 Revolutions” by Green Day had just popped up on shuffle on my phone. I originally ended the comic with an explosion that knocked two rich guys out of their seats. I feel the ending I went with actually kind of peters out. Perhaps the comic is just as “rebellious” as the song that inspired it.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the huge pay gap in America, and how so many are struggling to survive on so little, while the few reap the benefits. Maybe some day I will be able to draw a comic that more accurately reflects this struggle.

Here’s a little bit of trivia: the wine is actually a reference to a Simpsons joke.
